Beach Bottoms and Devotionals

I tagged a few of my friends on Facebook, thinking this photo was really quite hilarious, and one of my friends, who I actually made the skinny one (2nd butt from the right) removed her name from the photo. I don't think she thought it was very funny. But how is this not? If any of the people I tagged had the cottage-cheese thighs and big ol' butts as such, I could see the offensiveness. But they are all fit and svelte. (I even made myself the biggest butt, 2nd from the left.) Incase you were wondering, Manny was christened the center butt. I liked the bathing suit.**

In other randomness (and unoffensiveness), I received my first "My Daily Bread" from my awesome in-law's and opened it up yesterday for my first devotional with it. I figured that starting on a Sunday was more than appropriate. As I was looking at the first few pages of it, (I always like to read about where and when it was published, I do with any new book), I noticed that it was published at the Confraternity of the Most Precious Blood. Hmm, this sounds familiar! I thought to myself. After further investigation (ok, so I just looked at the address listed below) I realized that it was written and published on Fort Hamilton Parkway, Brooklyn, minutes from my office, now known as the Monastery of the Most Precious Blood, where I went to spiritual direction with Msgr. Philip Reilly! I took it not as a consequence, but a 'Godsequence', and thought it was totally cool.

It was a great start to my week, to say the least.

**UPDATE: After one of my friends removed her tag, I wanted to tell you all that not just one, but TWO, of my friends (who did not read this blog), requested to be tagged in the photo. As it turns out, they thought these buns of steel were quite awesome and equally hilarious, and wanted to be a part of it. I. Heart. Fun. Friends.
