BabaBaBaBaBabble

Look at our lil' Ann Banann, expanding her lil' vocabulary.

This was taken after she finished her first bottle of chamomile tea. For a few weeks now we have been trying everything from daily prunes to many meals of oatmeal and every other high fiber baby food we could think of, and her number twos were mediocre at best. She was really struggling and we were really starting to worry. My friend Helen (Luca's mom) kept suggesting tea, and at first I thought she was full of crazy talk. She swore by it, and after weeks of struggling to achieve a good B.M. from Miss Anna, (to no avail), I thought I'd give it a whirl. I warmed up some water, dipped the tea bag a few times to where the color was still transparent but had a tinge of tea, and tried it out.

Baby Girl loved its naturally sweet taste, it soothed and relaxed her like never before, and she proceeded to poo (gotta love this Mommy Blog, right?) off-and-on for three hours. What was once hard and unbearable became soft and easier to exit (I can't believe I am still describing baby poo right now), her belly became softer and softer, and she began to tell us how relieved she was. (I am assuming.) As Manny said, "She was on a Poop Train and jumped on the Express Track." (What a masculine way of describing it all...)

After six ounces of chamomile and three hours of poo-train-travels, to date, this is her longest conversation ever! I thought I'd also report that she now has three - THREE! - bottom teeth, and two front teeth on the very brink of breaking through. She is handling all of this like a champ, and we are so proud of her! (And relieved she finally "got going.")

Ah and Yes! How could I forget? We purchased a double stroller! Story and pictures to follow!
