Growly Gals

As most know, Anna has strabismus, sometimes goes cross-eyed, and sometimes has a lazy eye. To correct this more-common-than-you-think issue, we have to patch Anna's left eye for 2-hours a day, with maybe Sunday's off. It is a constant fight, sometimes going through up to 5 patches per day because she keeps tearing it off. And she is very smart about it. Usually, she waits for me to turn around, or to go grab something, and BAM! It's off. I get very mad, because these things aren't cheap. And it's infuriating repeating myself. We both end up growling and snarling at each other by the end. A few weeks ago, I took out one of Daddy's old ties and pulled a Rambo. "Let's see her get this off!" I thought. It makes her madder than hell but it's usually my last resort. I give her one more day or two of this before she starts ripping off the tie, too, but I'll take the relief!
