Goo Gabe!
Gabe has settled into the kindergarten routine fantastically and we couldn't be happier. He has a wonderful teacher this year and he has been so cute and helpful around the house. Just yesterday, he was holding on to Anna for me while I was running around trying to shimmy us all out of the house, when.... She puked. It got on him and all over her. I hear, "Anna! Gosh! The Things I Do For You!" and then he says, "Oh, don't be sad Anna, I'm just kidding! Mom!!!!!! We need some wipes!"
For that moment, I just wanted to kiss him and eat him up. Anna chose between two Curious George's today at the hospital gift shop to bring Gabe home something. She chose the monkey dressed as a doctor, which I thought was interesting. When he got home from school, it was laying on the table. "What's this?" he asked. "Oh! Gabe! Anna picked that out for you! I think she wanted to give it to you because you are kind of like a doctor with her, you take such good care of her, and she loves you so much." He had the biggest smile, and was so happy. Immediately he went to work, asking if Dr. Curious George could help with the tube feed at dinner. Of course, I told him.
What an awesome big brother.
