| After a nice nap post-shopping trip. |
Since she is getting tube feeds throughout the days and nights now, it was our first outing with a feeding pump in a backpack and trying to remain as inconspicuous as possible. I loaded the feeding bag into the pump before we left, and primed it with PediaLite so I didn't have to worry about doing that in the shoe section of a nice store. I mixed the formula when I got there, poured it in, plugged it in, and we were off. By the time I was finished with four hours of shopping without having anything to eat or drink, I kind of wished I had one! Anna was bright and smiley and dare I say it? Content. Taking her out was the biggest gamble I've ever taken. No joke! But we did great.
This morning, when it was back to our weekday schedule, with occupational, speech, and ABA therapies all before noon, she was none too happy. But, we'll take (or make) a break when we can!
