I've been waiting for a few days to come back to the blog. There have been a plethora of topics I've thought about, some sparking that writer's un-block and just as I am about to get down to the nitty gritty of getting it all out of me... I get busy. Summertime and Blogtime are obviously different seasons.
So as the fate of any writer out there knows, those moments of pure inspiration often arrive in the wee hours of the morning. Never fear, all was well, except my brain, churning churning churning... Must. Get. Back. To. Writing! (Hence the post-dated blogs, below.)
I begin with the most exciting thing since Post came out with Toaster Strudels: Our baby is Head Down! I totally called it the other morning too! So this means - for the first time in our current incubation period - I got to see her face on the sonogram!! (When she was breach, she was always facing away, towards my back.) So amongst all of her movements and hiccuping, I know this child as my own but when I saw her face I was like, "Well hey girl! Nice to finally meet you!" Like a pen pal I had never met but knew all along... She is beautiful! Now the words that need to sink in:
My daughter. Yowzah's! My. Daughter. Anna.
Gabe has always been "my bud" so we have to find something less stuffy, less formal, and venture away from the 'daughter' word. It's way too intimidating!

I think she has Manny's nose. And yes, I think she is going to look like Gabe.
the first thing i said when i saw the picture and showed it to manny was "she has the martinez nose!" you, rafi, manny and gabe all have it. i think she is going to be joining the club!
