The secret to a good night's sleep is: A Kiddopatamus. The first time I saw this straight jacket for babies was at that breastfeeding class I attended when I was on the verge of losing my sanity back in August. A mother was there with her baby and showed me her 'opatamus and I remember thinking to myself, "Anna would hate that." Back then, she was already a stretcher and a mover.
And then her baptism weekend arrived and so did Abuela Ilsa and Yiyi from Florida, with bags of clothes and baby goodies. In one of the bags was the 'opatamus. I thought, "Hey! I remember this!" and set it aside. Until one day, Anna was a little cold. I thought the 'opatamus would be a great way to warm her up, so I got out this pink contraption, thinking I'd put it on until she started screaming. But, she didn't. That day, in the Kiddopatamus, she slept for 5 hours straight. I realized I was on to something! A few days later, I fed her, burped her, changed her, bundled her, and set her down to sleep at 11 p.m. thinking I'd be back up at 2 a.m. and then again at 5 a.m. for her mid-night feeds. But I wasn't. I woke up, looked at the clock, and it was 6:30 a.m. "WOO HOO!!" I was elated. The next night, another sleep-filled rest.
And then two nights ago. I forgot the 'opatamus and she was up 4 times through the night. Last night? I didn't forget it, and she slept... 10 p.m. until 6 a.m. Wow, what a great thing!!! I wonder if they make the Kiddopatamus' in toddler and kid-sized? She may just be taking one to college.

I am glad about this, I must say I was skeptical about that bundling. I thought it will just be good for when it is cold.
