"Ta Da!"
This city boy has country in his genes...
We had grand plans on Wednesday to head to the Central Florida Zoo after morning Mass. It was my idea to head to the church in Sanford where Manny and I were married a little more than 3 years ago. We can't believe that we are on our 4th Thanksgiving together! It was nice looking around the church, listening to the pastor who married us, and giving thanks for our first visit to Orlando in over a year. Usually we venture to Miami, but this week we remained in the central part of the Sunshine State.
While we were in Mass, Gabe whispered to me: "I am so hungry, Mom. And I need to go to Abuela's to play." Point noted... We tossed back and forth the idea of "to Zoo? or not to Zoo?" and we decided that Gabe was on to something. We headed back to Abuela's where Gabe proceeded to rush back to Manny's old bedroom where we are staking claim this week, jump out of his "good clothes" and put on his "play clothes" and dash outdoors to enjoy his time in the sun and the massive yard he has been able to call his own during our visit. He really only comes in to eat and sleep. And nap time, I am sure you can imagine, has been thrown out the window.
Gabe has had fun "driving" the trees or pretending he was riding on a dinosaur.
And while Moni practices her piano, Gabe loves to join in. Even at Papa's where there is also a piano, Gabe has expressed interest. It gets me thinking that maybe in the next year or so we can start piano or guitar lessons...
Tomorrow is Thanksgiving and we can't wait! Abuela has already started to prepare the food and we are making sure to taste-try!
