It's My Birfday!

Today I exited my "early 20s" and entered into a new era: My "late 20s." Today I turned 26! It's been awesome receiving so many Happy B-Day e-mails and texts from friends, and talking to my mom and pops. I feel super loved!

After Mass, hubby took me to the Olive Garden, one of my favorite past times and a place I never get to go. (How could we possibly justify going out to eat at the OG while living in NYC, land of the best ethnic foods in the U.S.?) We and the fam wined and dined and headed home for a relaxing Sunday afternoon.

Mano and I were going to go see Australia, but after settling in we just didn't want to venture out again. I think we are going to see it tomorrow afternoon. It will be nice to have one more date with Manny before we leave; the other night we went out for drinks at a good Irish pub a few towns over and left the kiddies with the abuelos...

Our rules were:
1. No talking about the kids
2. No talking about finances
3. No talking about our careers
4. No talking about anything that has to do with any of the above in any sort of round about way

Wow! Great rules! We were struggling for conversation! But once we got used to it, it was like we were dating again! Hopes, dreams, memories, future goals!

We stepped away from the ordinary and how good it felt. We plan on abiding by these rules every future date. I highly recommend it!

So while I became a post-dating fool, the kids really enjoyed their Sunday afternoons, and both napped away...

Completely... Adorable...

It has been a great week, I have enjoyed the visit tremendously, spoiling Gabe has been so much fun.... And, Connie, I gave him crakers, cheese and pepperoni for dinner last night because that is what he wanted !!! he was so cute when he told his parents what he was eating and "don't make me cry !!!". He is very funny and smart, I am sure you will enjoy him a lot next month. But I have one more day, Thank God.
