Look what we found in our baskets!
Gabe, who loathes dressing for church, was especially excited to wear the Easter Sunday shirt I bought him a few days ago.
As I was nursing Anna in the other room,
Manny was trying to get him dressed.
Their conversation went like this:
"I don't want to get dressed for church Dad!!"
"Gabe, we have to get dressed and go to church."
"But I don't like this shirt!"
"What don't you like about it? Is it the color?"
"No..."
"Is it the shape?"
"No..."
"Well... you have to wear this shirt. Come on, let's get dressed."
"(excessive whining)"
"There! You look so nice!"
"I DON'T LIKE THIS DRESS!!!"
He eventually got over it and hammed it up for the camera.

He loves Anna's chubby hands and wrists...
Always loves kissing her and them!
She looked oh-so-adorable and all of us pinkies really stuck out in church.
I don't know about you, but it was always a tradition to have an Easter outfit every year.
No question, every year I was dolled up in an Easter outfit.
I wanted to pass the tradition down to our kids,
and Manny always loves an excuse to wear the manliness of all shirts:
His pink collared dress shirt.
(He, too, wanted to pass that tradition down to Gabe... Hence the shirt.)
Excited for Easter Sunday and the fact we actually made 10 a.m. Mass
(we are always heading in for the evening, something we're working on),
we took our seat and looked around.
Apparently, people in New York do not wear Easter outfits.
Manny leaned over to me and whispered,
"It looks like we are at the Dungarees Fashion Show."
I had to agree.
We stuck out like pink shiny Easter eggs while people came in their jeans
(and not their nice pair).
It was a bit disappointing, but we took the "be the light in the darkness" as
"be the pink in the sea of black" and made a mental note that maybe we should venture to Ohio or Florida next year so we can actually fit in.
Too bad I work every Easter weekend.
Anyway, none of this really matters in the scheme of salvation so moving on to...

Easter Brunch!
I was mucho excited for our display of all things pretty and delicious!
(Not pictured: fruit salad, egg and sausage casserole,
Bloody Mary's and So-Gooda-Mimosa!)
Adam and Emily came, along with Fredda and her cuties Layla and Marley, as well as Abuelo, his girlfriend Julie and Uncle Al!

Best Buds.
Take 17: a picture where they are both smiling and not goofin'!

Mountain Man Gabe
At the end of the afternoon, we headed outside to brave the chilly Easter afternoon but after 10 minutes decided it was way too cold to stay out.
Gabe is always asking to go "camping" and "play in my sand table"...
We can't wait for summer so we can actually stay out there - everyday!
