I heart Saturday mornin's...

This morning, after being woken up by my little 9-1-1 emergency responder singing Sean Kingston "Somebody call 9 -1-1! Shawty fire burning on the dance floor!",  I realized today was going to be one of those days and needed to pack a punch at breakfast. I saw that I had an abundance of fruit left over from the week so lil' hip-hopper Gabe and I made a shake. It was so packed full of protein, antioxidants and taste that I even mixed some into Anna's yogurt for breakfast. She liked it a lot, and it was a nice change from our otherwise monotonous food choices.

Gabe and Mommy's Berry Peanut Butter Honey Shake for Us and Anna
(he came up with that very original title):
1 1/2 c. very ripe blueberries
1 c. very ripe strawberries
1 c. Silk Almond Milk (vanilla)
1 very hefty tablespoon of peanut butter
2 very hefty tablespoons flax seed meal
a little squirt of honey to sweeten
a couple ice cubes to chill
...And blend away.
