Anna's Amazin' Train Keeps on Rollin'

We had somewhat of a miracle in our house over the weekend. Seriously.

So the story here goes... Anna and I recently had a Girls Night. Gabe has been in Canada with his grandparents since Thursday, Daddy has been working like a crazyman, and that has left a lot of Mommy-Daughter Time. So Saturday night we worked on our therapies, a little Occupational Therapy here, some Physical Therapy there. Last week, our OT mentioned that Anna has really been trying to shimmy herself off the couch, and to just let her do it over the weekend and see where it goes. So during a television break from cleaning and all that good stuff, I let her do her thing. The video picks up right after she made herself fall out of the sitting position and rolled on her belly. During the belly roll, she kicked her legs out and over the side of the couch... And the rest is history. Around the 3:03 mark you can see taking her first "independent" step. It was incredible.

This is something we couldn't even dream of Anna doing 6 months ago, and here she was, proving to all of us, what an amazing gal she is.
(As if we needed anymore proof!)
Good job, Banana Girl!
I think the prayers storming Heaven have been heard.

**Yes, some of you may recognize the television show in the background. I must admit, Khloe and Kourtney Take Miami is a huge guilty pleasure. Just try to tune it out. It's the most ridiculous commentary ever.
