The End of a (Month-long) Era

Gabe and Anna were in their glories for the month of March, when Abuela flew up for four-weeks and Abuelo Rafa for two. Ok, we won't hold back, Manny and I loved it, too.

When they got in the car for the airport to head back to Florida, the G-Fam all stood on the stoop and cried like babies that our month with in-town (ok, in-house) family was over and we were back to juggling life here on our own.

The very-spoiled cuties, Gabe and Anna.

Our attempt at a family photo with our Nikon propped up on a few photo albums on the bookshelf. Everyone say "Cheese!"

After they left, I found myself in a 3-day depression. I hadn't been alone in weeks. First helpers to arrive post-Operation: Lose An Organ were Amy and Bella. Then Dad. Then Aunt Carol. Then Ilsa and Rafa. Then a visit from Mom and Rob. So, to be left on my own was a tad sad. I had become very spoiled. (Unfortunately my photo-taking reminders were blinded by sickness for the stays of Amy, Dad and Aunt Carol. And Mom and I both stink at remembering to take photos. Apologies we don't have real documentation of their visits!)

So, back to doing things on my - gasp! - own. For instance, eating by myself: tears. Watching t.v. by myself: tears. Making espresso by myself: tears. Working on my computer on the kitchen table: tears. Washing the guest-bed linens: tears. No one to bounce ideas off of (in person): tears. Hopefully you get the melodramatic drift. After about 3-days, I had done everything alone for the first time again and I had re-acquainted myself to it just being Anna and I for most of the day while Manny and Gabe were off at The View and school. It was an awesome blessing to have everyone here and we miss having company mucho mucho.

So, the plea is out there: People, come visit!
:)
