Gabe: Future Economist and Judger of Brains

Part 1

Me: "Gabriel, Stop playing in my kitchen sink! There are glass dishes in there that will break, you will get hurt with, and have no money to buy me more when I need to replace them."

Him: "Mommy, I do have money. It's in my piggy bank! And if that isn't enough to buy more glasses than I will use my piggy bank money to make my lemonade stand, and that will get even more money."

Five year old economics. I love it!

Part 2

Him: "Can you put the speaker in the kitchen while I eat my breakfast so I can at least hear the t.v.?"

Me: (knowing how to turn on the speaker but not feeling like it, and partly disagreeing with him having to listen to something while eating) "I don't know how. Daddy knows how though. Ask him when he gets home."

Him: "Why don't you know how to do it yet?"

Me: (at 7 a.m. and half-asleep) "Mommy isn't that smart about techie-stuff like that."

Him: "Well, if you want to get smarter, you should hang out more with Daddy, and Memee, and Papa. They have the smartest brains in the Whole. Wide. World."

And there you have it, folks. It looks like someone has been brain-washed on our recent trip to Ohio.

That kid really is smart. And a good judge of intelligence.
